Golden retriever orphans

BIO: PLEASE DONATE TO MY MEDICAL FUND! CLICK 'MORE' TO SEE HOW MUCH I NEED. THANK YOU! An Enya quote reads "Hope has a place in a lover's heart". I certainly hope so. I would like a place in someone's heart. My name is Hope. I'm an 11 year old girl who was surrendered to a shelter by the people that had me. I don't know why. My pretty white fur coat was such a horrible matted mess that the shelter folks shaved me down to the skin. My ears, teeth, skin and weight - at 54 pounds - all need a little work to get healthy again. I need to be spayed and microchipped and helped back to the beautiful girl I am. Amazingly, I'm heart worm negative; that's a blessing and once my medical needs are taken care of, I'll be fine. My first glimmer of 'hope' after being terrified at the shelter was when somebody nice took me to their car and drove me to Birmingham. I rode real well in the car and got along great with the other pup that was rescued by AGB. At the vet's office, they put a blanket over me because I get cold without my fur. They feed me good food and treats while my fur coat grows back. At my age, will somebody want to adopt me and take me home with them? I obviously haven't had a cushy life but I do hope my golden years will bring a warm bed and a loving hand to pet me. I promise to be a good and sweet companion. "And sometimes, against all odds, against all logic, we still hope". Hugs, from a little girl named Hope.
