September 29, 2022 – Jax is now Rafa and is recovering nicely from those nasty heartworms! His new parents absolutely adore this gentle giant and cannot wait until he’s medically cleared to join them on walks and happy hour at the local watering hole. He loves to relax on the back porch, chew bones and snuggle all day long. Thank you to those who donated towards his treatment and to Megan and Natalie for loving and fostering this guy!

Howdy partners, I’m Jax! I’m 5 years old and came to AGB as my owner is moving and can’t take me with him. I am curious but friendly with cats, dogs, and people, but I can get excited and a little hyper at times. I’m hoping if we work together on some training, I will learn to be calmer and what you expect of me. I have been an outside dog, but I’m really looking forward to living inside with my family. I am loving and sweet and I like to play. Unfortunately, I have heartworms, probably from being bitten by those pesky old mosquitos. I also have intestinal worms and need to be neutered. AGB promises to get me healthy and to match me with my perfect forever family.
