Adopt A Golden Birmingham is 100% volunteer-based and driven. We can only succeed with the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers who open their hearts, their homes and give selflessly of their time to take care of homeless Golden Retrievers.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are a volunteer-run organization and rely solely on donations to operate, and 100% of the donations received are used to care for the Goldens we rescue. The average cost of each dog rescued is over $850, and every dollar you donate will be used towards the Golden for spay/neutering, heartworm treatment and prevention, vaccinations, repair of injuries and treatment of diseases, emotional and physical rehabilitation. No dog leaves us for adoption without a clean bill of physical and emotional health. A bright-eyed, tail-wagging, and healthy Golden ready for his or her forever home is our objective.
If you make a donation towards a specific dog whose financial needs have been met, we will then apply your generous donation towards our general fund for the benefit of another orphan who desperately needs financial assistance.
