Smoke

April 30, 2022 – Two year old Smoke was what they call a “stray” and he started hanging around a business looking for someone to feed him and take care of him. One of the guys there took him home until he could find someone to help with Smoke and luckily he reached out to AGB. Even though Smoke’s fur is technically not Golden, AGB agreed to take him in. They said he had a “Golden heart”. It’s a good thing they got Smoke to a Vet, because it turned out that he had heartworms, but with love and treatment, soon he was all better. While Smoke was busy getting over heartworms, a nice family whose own dog had recently crossed the rainbow bridge, contacted AGB and arranged to meet him. It was love at first sight and we’ve never looked back!

Hi everyone, I’m Smoke! I’m about 2 years old and am a petite 45 lbs. I am a sweet, friendly boy and I make good eye contact and love affection and working for treats. I was what they call “stray” and started hanging around a business looking for someone to feed me and take care of me. One of the guys there took me home with him and loved on me a lot until he could find a rescue for me. Even though my fur is not Golden, AGB agreed to take me in because I was in desperate need and AGB said I have a “Golden heart”. Speaking of hearts, it’s a good thing that fella got me to rescue, because he literally saved my life! You see, I had heart worms, but I have been successfully treated and I’m all well now. I’m back to playing with my toys, my foster brother, and going on walks – favorite activities! Sometimes I am playful, but I also enjoy chilling while we’re watching TV. I am a love bug who bonds quickly with humans. I like to follow my foster humans around and sit quietly while they work. I get along well with other dogs, too. I am crate trained and know some basic commands, and have just finished a week of intensive training with a real, live trainer, so just watch me do my mental exercises!
