Marley
October 5, 2021 – Sweet Marley at 5 years old was owner surrendered to a shelter. Luckily AGB was called and we picked her up to care for her and to find a new forever home. After being treated for some skin issues, this sweet girl won the heart of her foster (thanks Beth for fostering the sweet girl) and soon found her new home. Marley now lives in Huntsville and has a new little friend who she wants to play with. Mom says Marley is the best dog, she is smart, well behaved and soooo sweet. She has settled in quickly and her personality is really coming out. On day 1, Marley found her place at the bottom of the bed that she claimed as her ‘spot to sleep’ and Mom is OK with that. Says Mom: “Marley is a happy, life-loving Golden Girl who doesn’t act like a 5 year old. She is very well behaved, very loving and a delight to have around. She wants to be with at least one family member at all times. She’s even happier when she is with both of us. Marley is curious about everything but not destructive. To say she is smart, is an understatement. She talks to let you know what is needed and when she wags her short little tail, her entire body is wagging. Marley has a way to go to complete healing. Her fur, which was missing in numerous places, is growing back and her ribs don’t stick out now that she has gained some weight. We are so blessed to have this little Golden Girl in our lives. She makes us smile all the time, even when she is sleeping.” Happy trails sweet Marley.
Original Adoption Post
Hello friends my name is Marley. I’m a 5 year old girl weighing in at about 50 lbs. Though I can be shy at first, I am a sweet girl who loves people and other doggies. I developed a skin condition and became very irritated and itchy. My owners couldn’t handle it and decided to give me to a shelter. Luckily for me, the shelter knew the folks at AGB and they knew they would take care of me and find people who would love and care for me, so now I’m an AGB dog. The doctors here started me on medicine and medicated baths right away and already my skin is feeling so much better. Unfortunately, they found my skin condition was not the only health issue I had. They found I had hook and tapeworms and also those awful heartworms! So now I am getting more medicine for all that and I am going to take it easy and rest and let my body heal. While I’m doing that, the volunteers here are working to match me with a family who will give me all the pampering I have been missing. Do you think that could be you? If so, be sure to fill out an adoption application and ask to see Marley girl.
