Scout
August 31, 2020 – Scout II is a very handsome 1.5 year old purebred boy who was very rambunctious and got into mischief when bored at his former owner’s home. After a bit of structure and walks in his foster home, he settled right down. The adopter of Rusty III, who passed to the Rainbow Bridge in February, had been waiting since then for another young red male. When Scout came in, he immediately made plans to drive to Birmingham from North Carolina. He reports that Scout slept like a baby the first night and has been a perfect dog ever since. He goes to work with Dad every day and enjoys trips to the beach as well as his daily walks. We’re so happy they have each other now and can entertain each other. Be a good boy, Scout, and have fun rolling in the sand!
Original Adoption Post
Hello there! Does this look like a good pose to meet my new owners? They’re on their way! They’ve been ‘scouting’ for a new pup just like me and, happily enough, my name is Scout. I’ll be way too excited and rambunctious to hold still and pose when I get to meet them though. I can’t wait! I’m a very handsome boy of one and a half years old. I’m still a puppy really and I have boundless energy. I don’t mean to but I can get into mischief when I’m bored so I need lots of mental stimulation and physical exercise. I know several commands like “sit”, “down” and “shake”. I love to swim, fetch and play hide and seek. My nose always lets me win hide and seek, ha ha. I really like other dogs, kids and strangers. I’ve never met a cat. I weigh 71 pounds and I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heart worm negative. Ready to pack my bags. Thanks for finding me the perfect new home, AGB!
