Skylee

Senior girl Skylee came to us after her previous owner passed away.  After spending some time with a wonderful foster family, she finally found her forever home.  She may be an older girl but she is still spunky and has a lot of life yet to live. 

Her new dad says, “When I came across Adopt a Golden Birmingham several months ago I saw Skylee on there.  Skylee is a 10.5 year old Golden Retriever.  I know from reading posts from several adoption websites that the older the dog the lesser chance they have to be adopted.  I wanted to change that because older dogs are just as sweet and lovable as their younger counterparts.

I put my application in and was pleasantly surprised to find out that I had been approved.  The foster where Skylee was is close to where I live so it was easy to set up a meet and greet.  It went just as I figured it would for a Golden.  

She has fit in well with my 5 other dogs and now will have her best life ever. ”
