Ace

When one of our partner Adopt A Golden organizations needed to move some dogs they contacted us about Ace. This handsome boy came in as a very active, friendly “bull in a china shop”!  With his boundless energy and sweet nature, we knew he would need some structure and a foster that would give him some attention. One of our fosters stepped up, took him on, and worked with him. Ace made a lot of progress with him and soon was ready for adoption.  

His new family had recently lost their beloved Golden due to a tragic medical emergency. They knew they couldn’t replace their sweet pup, but they also knew they had a lot of love to give another one. After meeting Ace, they felt like he was the one. He has become a “pleasant energetic, probably typical adolescent Golden.”  

He stays with his new dad when they take him out in public, and is a favorite at one of the local watering holes. He is loved by all who meet him. His dad has quickly trained him to stay down and he lays at his feet. He has passed the temperament test at a training academy and will be starting there soon.  Ace is home with his people and they have another dog to give all their love to.
