September 18, 2020 – When a wonderful and loving couple from out west saw Annie and Casey on Susie’s Senior Dogs, they did what very few people would do. They drove 1200 miles to Birmingham, met and adopted this darling duo, and drove 1200 miles back to New Mexico. They saw dogs that needed a home, knew they needed dogs, and they made it happen! Annie and Casey’s new parents said, “Susie’s Senior Dogs is a miracle organization. It really was their web site that led us to the girls. They traveled extremely well and handled staying in a hotel like a couple of pros! Every day we learn more about them and they learn more about us. At the moment, they are Daddy’s girls until it is time to eat and then suddenly, they want to know where Mom is.” What a wonderful adoption story, and we have so many people to thank! Thank you for the loving foster home, thank you to Susie’s Senior Dogs, and thank you to the new parents of these sisters.

“Sisters are the perfect best friend!” Hello, my name is Annie and my sister’s name is Casey. We are so glad we have each other! We are senior Golden girls that, very sadly for us, are being left behind as our previous owner is moving and we’re not going along with them. And although it’s a little scary right now, thankfully, our owner called AGB to surrender us and AGB promised that we’re going to be just fine. I’m 9 1/2 years old and weigh 55 pounds. I’m spayed and heart worm negative. We haven’t been to a vet in a long time so our AGB vet has prescribed Senior Best Care for us to make sure we’re in tiptop shape. We’ve now been vaccinated and tested and we’re hoping there’s a loving home out there that would love to take home two sweet and gentle girls with them. We’re both very good girls, crate-trained, and more than happy to spend time with you and keep you company. We are good with kids and strangers. We do like to bark at strange dogs but that’s just because we’re interested in them. I will playfully chase a cat but I like them too. Casey and I would really like to be your pups.
