Betty

August 21, 2020 – Sweet Betty loves her new home looking out over the Tennessee hills. Her family includes another Golden and two cats. Since Betty is between 8 – 12 years old, she gets to be the big sister. Her bad skin condition is all better so she feels good and she is ready for lots of petting. After being in a shelter, her new home is great! Betty now has a nice comfortable house, a big yard to play in and the sweet family she has always dreamed of!

Remember the TV show Golden Girls? Well, I am a Golden Girl just like the actress Betty White. My name is Betty just like her, in fact, and I’m a senior lady; somewhere between 8 to 12 years old. I’ll never tell! You just never know what’s going to happen, do you? I got lost and picked up as a stray and taken to a shelter. I wish I had some wisecracking roommates that would have looked for me and taken me back home but no, that did not happen. I’m very laid back and love to be petted. I have a gorgeous, mostly sugar face that accents my eyes with white eyebrows. I weigh 58 pounds. The AGB folks that rescued me from the shelter said I was very, very sweet. I’ve been a mom multiple times and I’ve never been spayed. The vets are doing a Best Care Senior work-up on me; I’ve never had so much medical attention. My fur was in rough shape but with medicated baths and topical and oral meds I’m looking better everyday!. Imagine how pretty I’m going to be when they’re all done. So wish me well and fingers crossed I’ll soon be in a wonderful new home and finally enjoying my Golden Girl status. “Thank you for being a friend…..”
