Bram

January 7, 2024 – Bram (now Chickie) came to AGB as a stray on the euthanasia list at a shelter. He was a pretty scruffy looking boy with a bald back end, bilateral ear infections, and he was severely underweight at 26 pounds. While we have many adoption applicants at AGB who love our mixed-breed pups, we thought this little guy would be hard to place but we couldn’t say no. Who could resist those eyes and ears?!  When his new mom saw his photo on our website she immediately fell in love and wanted to know all about him. She needed a dog on the smaller side but also wanted a cuddler. Bram fit those needs so we made arrangements for them to meet. It was love at first sight. He’s now in his forever home with his doggie mom’s unconditional love.  AGB is so thankful for adopters like Bram’s mom who look beyond the outside and see the Golden hearts.

Here’s what she has to say about this sweet boy: “It’s been a month since Chickie joined my life and we’ve already had a ton of fun! Our journey began with a 3-hour drive from Huntsville to Nashville. Despite his post-surgery blues, he warmed up to me quickly. He’s a real Velcro dog, always sticking by my side. Chickie is hilarious, clever, and loves to play. Plus, he’s quite the chatterbox! He’s a foodie and a sleepyhead, just like me! We’ve even had a road trip to Alabama for Christmas and enjoy our weekend Starbucks runs. Along the way, he’s made new doggie and human friends, adding to our adventures. Every day, he’s growing braver and more comfortable as an indoor dog. Chickie is simply the best!”
