Older couple squatting next to old golden retriever

Cash

March 12, 2020 – Cash has been adopted by a retired couple who have another senior dog and cat. Cash has a hard time seeing and hearing so his new siblings will help guide him. He is a very sweet boy who was found as a stray and came to AGB covered in fleas and severely matted. Thanks to his foster family who allowed him to perk up a bit and to this family who is kind enough to adopt a dog with limitations. Keep that darling look on your face Cash, and enjoy your retirement years.

Original Adoption Post

“Hello, I’m Johnny Cash” Ha, ha, not really; I’m just “Cash”. it just sounded like a nice big introduction for a little Golden guy like me. So, hello, I’m Cash! I was found wandering and the person who found me posted on social media but my owner wasn’t found. It had been a little while because I was starting to get a little ragged being on my own – my fur was heavily matted, I had to be wormed, I was a little disoriented and I have a urinary tract infection. So I’m real glad somebody is taking care of me again. Luckily, I’m heart worm negative. I just got neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. They’ve given me medicine for my UTI. A guy like me, at around 9 years of age, should be enjoying his senior years, not wondering where his next meal is coming from. As I said, I’m a little on the small size; I weigh only 46 pounds. The person who found me said I am friendly to all and I have a very sweet face. I’d like to find a new warm and loving home. I don’t want to be like that Johnny Cash song “Solitary Man”. I’d rather sing “We Are Family!”
