Clifford

This gorgeous boy arrived at Adopt A Golden Birmingham after one of our volunteers had a family member that could not care for him anymore.  She fostered him and loved him like her own until we found the perfect home for him. 

His new dad says, “Like most families who adopt a rescue dog, we hoped to give Clifford a happy home. What surprised us was how quickly he became exactly what our family needed. He came into our lives during a season when our family needed a little extra joy, comfort, and distraction. Almost immediately, he became part of our daily routine and quickly worked his way into our hearts. 

Whether he’s following us from room to room, draping a paw over anyone willing to pet him, or sprawling across our laps as if he weighs 10 pounds instead of 80, Clifford has a way of making every day a little brighter. He greets us each morning like he hasn’t seen us in weeks, keeps us laughing with his goofy personality, and gives the best snuggles on the couch every evening before bed. 

Looking back, it’s hard to believe Clifford has only been with us since May. He has woven himself so completely into our daily lives that it feels like he’s always been part of our family.

We are so grateful to Adopt a Golden Birmingham, his foster family, and everyone who helped him find his way to us. Clifford may have been the one who got adopted, but our family feels like we were the lucky ones. Thank you for bringing this sweet boy into our lives.”
