Dolly

Well, Hello Dolly! This sweet senior girl came to us by way of a south Alabama shelter. She was an older girl with some health issues that Adopt A Golden Birmingham took care of so she would be ready to go to her forever home. Our senior dogs are a pretty special group of orphans. It’s hard to say yes to bringing home a dog that you really aren’t sure is going to be with you for long.  Luckily, Dolly was able to find a family that wanted a dog just like her!  

Her new dad wrote, “We fell in love with Dolly the moment we saw her photo. This spirited senior lady has brought so much joy to our home! She fit right in with our family, quickly befriending our Golden Retriever, Frankie, and even our cat, Gus. At 8 years old, Dolly has the energy to run circles around us but also cherishes her cozy downtime. We couldn’t be happier with our sweet senior girl and encourage others to open their hearts to adopting senior Golden Retrievers-they have so much love to give!”
