Goldie

January 6, 2024 – Sweet Senior Goldie came to AGB as a stray from the Humane Society of Chilton County. This 10-year-old girl has found her home with people who needed her as much as she needed them. Here’s her story from her mom and hooman sister: 

“Goldie, now Sylvie, is our silver lining after the passing of our foster Dollie. I knew the second she walked down the stairs at work that she was special.  She came to us as a shy but sweet girl. She was matted to the point she had to be shaved and she had several health issues- mainly heartworm-positive. I knew we had to at least foster her but she soon won my mother over (as well as the rest of us) with her constant wagging tail, tippy taps, and sassy personality. She’s an absolute sweetheart and wants nothing but cuddles and her favorite treats! We truly believe that she was heaven-sent, needing a nice warm home to live out her Golden years!”  

As much as we at AGB know that our rescues need us, we know that our adopters need them as well.  Thank you to all the volunteers who got this girl home and a big thank you to her new family for giving her the place she can spend the rest of her life in peace and comfort, well-loved and taken care of.
