Hank

Hank arrived at Adopt A Golden Birmingham after being surrendered due to his separation anxiety.  He has found a home now where he has a dad who is with him almost all the time and a 4 legged brother to hang out with as well.  

His new dad had been interested in several dogs we had gotten in, but timing caused him to miss out on them.  He now thinks there was a reason for that.  After less than two weeks in his home, he knew Hank (now Hickory) was exactly what he had been waiting for.  Hickory transitioned so well into the home and became best friends with his brother Nectar in no time. Nectar has taught Hickory the ropes of being loved and taken care of by a dad who has endless patience and understanding. He is having meals prepared that would make any other dog envious – grilled t-bone steaks and turkey burgers, along with side dishes!  

Adopt A Golden Birmingham is so thankful for adopters who can take a dog with anxiety and turn it into a dog that is happy, playful, and very much at home.
