Hankie/Arnie
June 8, 2021 – Sweet Hankie came to AGB wanting a home without small children and in need of two surgeries to repair her hip dysplasia. A couple who adopted two dogs from AGB years ago told us they were ready to adopt again and we knew they would be perfect for each other. Hankie is now Arnie and she is in heaven in her new home. Her mom says “she has made herself at home and is doing fabulous!” She says that Arnie is definitely part of the family and has fit right in. She loves her new mom and dad and they love her. We love our repeat adopters and are thankful that Arnie has a family that will help her through her next surgery.
Original Adoption Post
Hello, my name is Hankie. Some have been calling me a Fairy Princess but, with an edgy name like Hankie, I’d like to think I’m more of a rockstar princess! I’m not a lacy and embroidery type of girl and my name is not short for handkerchief! I’m 3 years old and quite trendy and adorable! I’m an energetic and happy pup with a good temperament. Excitement is my middle name but I’m also very sweet. I’m heart worm negative, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. I weigh 69 pounds. I’m pretty good on being house trained and know “sit” and a couple of other easy commands. I like other pets as well. My little quirks are I’m a little scared of the blowdryer at the groomer and I sure don’t like loud noises. All in all a darling little girl. I did have hip dysplasia but I had FHO surgery on my left leg and AGB is raising money to pay for my right one as well (even if I am adopted), which is scheduled for the near future. AGB said, with a little help from our friends, that they’ll get me all fixed up and I’ll be able to recover either in my foster home or maybe even with my new family (I hope, I hope)! A little Golden beauty like myself has a whole fantastic life – continuing to be a rockstar Princess – in front of me with spring in my step and no pain. I hope you will consider donating to my surgery fund. It would help me a lot. Thank you kindly.
