Loosie/Lucy

January 1, 2020 – FIRST ADOPTION OF 2020! Eight year old pretty girl Loosie/Lucy was surrendered to AGB because her owner was traveling too much and knew she needed more time and attention. Longtime volunteers Vic and Barbara had been looking for a playmate and friend for their AGB alum Windy/Birdy and the two hit if off immediately. They start the day with their crocodile wrestling and then play the rest of the day together in-between walks and snooze times and cuddles with mom and dad. Barbara reports Lucy is super sweet and probably the only dog in the neighborhood that will actually come when you call her name! Enjoy that view from your new home Lucy, and congrats for being 2020’s Number 1 gal!

Hello, friends! Remember what Ricky Ricardo used to call his wife in the I Love Lucy show? Well, my name sounds exactly like that – Loosie! I’m 8 years old and I weigh 65 pounds. And while I’m not a ravishing redhead like Lucille Ball, I am a beautiful blonde lady as you can see. Classic Golden Retriever looks and style. I’m good with dogs and kids and strangers. But most of all, I love having my people around. My previous person found that between work and family obligations that I was spending way too much time alone – over 12 hour stretches at a time – and they felt I deserved a special someone that would be around more frequently. AGB found me a new home immediately with a family that has been waiting for a girl just like me! I’m a comfortable sort of a girl, low activity level, but I enjoy leash walks and car rides. I’m house trained, of course, and will go to the door to let you know I want to go out. Don’t know about cats much but I will bark at them when I see them; let them know I’m around. I know the “sit”, “come” and “down” commands. And I shouldn’t eat rawhide or people food because of a bit of a sensitive tummy. But go on and shout “Loosie” and I will come a running to you. I’m going home for Christmas, folks, and I’ve already got my Christmas present of a new family to love me forever.
