Woman sitting in patio chair with golden retriever

Lucius/Lucky

September 29, 2020 – Lucius is a Lucky boy, and that is now his new name! He is living a good life with one of our fosters (not a foster failure!), and she says he is just the sweetest, calmest, gentlest, most loving dog – a perfect fit for her. Good luck Lucky, you are precious!

Original Adoption Post

“This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine”. My name is Lucius and it means “light”. I’m a five year old boy and I weigh 53 pounds. I just became an AGB pup when my owners very sadly surrendered me because their work kept them from spending any time with me and they loved me enough to want me to go to a home where I could shine. I was getting very lonely. I’ve seen the vet and I’ve been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I’m currently undergoing heartworm treatment but that is only a few weeks. But I should be just fine once all that’s done. I’m a handsome boy with a gorgeous cream colored stripe down my chest. I’ve got a big blocky head that the gals go crazy over. I am friendly and playful. Lately, I was living outside and sleeping under the house. I’ll be quite happy to have my own comfy bed in the house; I am house trained. I’m very good with people, strangers and other dogs but I do have one habit; I can be food possessive if another pup wants to eat my food so maybe I just need some privacy when I eat. I’m can be afraid of cats if they run, but I like my foster cat. I’d really like to be the light of someone’s life; I’ll be a real good companion! Hopefully, Lucius
