Older couple sitting with a golden retriever

Lucy

July 7, 2021 – Little Lucy has gone to Auburn where she is doted on day and night. She still has to go through her Heartworm treatment but the vets have been getting her cured of some skin and ear infections first, so wish her luck! This couple has adopted from AGB in the past and had this to say about Lucy: “We had lots of company over the weekend and she does well with that – wonderful with children and women. She is gaining trust with men day by day. She also likes golf cart rides, and eats every morsel of her yummy food!” She looks like a pretty good snuggle buddy too. Have fun riding around Auburn, Lucy, and can’t wait to hear how you feel after those nasty Heartworms are all gone!

Original Adoption Post

“Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” Hello, my name is Lucy and I am a diamond girl! My heartbroken owner is in a medical situation where he cannot physically take care of me anymore so I was surrendered to AGB. He, with the help of his family, wanted to make sure I was going to be placed in a safe and loving home. And, I am so lucky that there are folks waiting to meet and adopt a girl just like me. I am six years old and have a lovely, sweet disposition. I weigh 72 pounds. I am very good with people and other dogs. I’ve never met a cat. I’m house trained and know “sit” and “stay”. I love to ride in the car and I love being outdoors. I have been a Momma to two litters. I’ve just been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Unfortunately, I am heart worm positive so I have to get treatment and be real quiet for 30 days so I might have to wait for a little bit before I get to go to my new home. But I can’t wait. This diamond girl is going to be so happy and loved, I just know it. xox Lucy
