For Luka, a beloved AGB long-timer, the journey was defined by a hopeful heart and the quiet patience of a dog who knew his perfect match was out there. While he watched many seasons pass and friends find their way home, he remained our steadfast companion, never losing his gentle spirit as he waited for the day his own “forever” would finally begin.

Today, we are overjoyed to share that the wait is finally over. Luka has officially begun his new life as Lou, and he didn’t just find a house—he found his absolute best buddy.

Looking at them together now, it’s clear that Lou wasn’t just waiting for any home; he was waiting for this one. Whether they are out on an adventure or relaxing side-by-side, the bond they share is the kind of magic that makes every day in rescue worth it.

This happy ending would not have been possible without the fierce dedication of his fosters.  They never gave up on him, providing the love, stability, and advocacy Lou needed while he waited for his perfect match. They saw the “forever dog” in him long before the rest of the world did, and we are eternally grateful for their devotion.
