May 11, 2021 – This sweet senior girl is so lucky to have found a family that loves her, has pulled her out of her shell, and opened a whole new world that she has waited for her whole life. Our “foster failure/triumph” story as follows: “Maggie came into her family’s life during a time of grief over the loss of their older golden who passed away a month prior to her arrival. She immediately stole their heart with her backstory and her sweet personality. She immediately adapted with a steady routine, a diet, a love for her new screened in porch and backyard, her multiple beds around the house and the love from her new parents. She shares the house with a senior cat who took to her immediately and loves to snuggle with her. Maggie also now has an 8 week old baby golden sister who she is getting closer with every minute. She is now living a wonderful life and her best days are ahead of her.” We couldn’t be more proud. You are beautiful Maggie, and deserve the best!

Hello, I’m Maggie. I’m a pearl of a girl; that’s what the name Maggie means, a pearl. AGB has had ten of us pretty golden girls named Maggie so far. I was rescued two years ago with a fellow named Oliver – both of us were breeder dogs. I’m a senior lady now of 10 years of age and would love to spend my time enjoying myself in some luxurious surroundings in my retirement. My own bed sounds wonderful. I’ve now been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and I’m heart worm negative. I weigh 78 pounds. I probably could lose a couple of pounds, I have a UTI, and I’m currently on some Proin medication. I’ve been on a roller coaster lately and I could use some calmness, security, and a routine in my life. Wouldn’t mind some petting and love too! A kennel environment is different from a home so I’d appreciate some patience while I learn the ropes. I’m good with people and other pets. I’m very pretty with a light red coat. I’d love to be a pearl of a girl in your heart. Won’t you come meet me and we’ll see what happens. I’m eligible for the senior to senior program.
