Nova

When Nova’s new mom and dad applied to adopt from Adopt A Golden Birmingham, they knew they wanted a Doodle. They waited patiently for just the right one, and when Nova (now Nola) came along, and they met her, they knew she was the one.  Nova went straight to adoption after her previous owner surrendered her to us.  She has landed well.  

Her new mom says, ” Nola (previously Nova) came into our lives 6 months after having to put down our 2 senior dogs. I truly thought I would be without a dog for at least a year because I couldn’t imagine loving another so soon. But like many of your clients’ stories, I found that the hole left after a pet’s passing can’t be filled with activities and busyness. I submitted an application to Adopt A Golden B’ham sort of on a whim and without telling my husband (who was more than ready for another dog!). 

I was specific about what I wanted and thought it would be months before we were matched. Beth contacted me right away and assured me that she would be on the lookout. She was great about keeping in touch and after a couple of possible adoptions, she presented us with Nola. She is everything we wanted and more! She is loving, affectionate, protective, and smart! She’s always up for a walk or to play, and is happy just sitting in the backyard watching squirrels. The adoption process through AGB was thorough and easy. We love Nola so much and cannot thank Beth and her team enough for bringing her into our lives!”
