Rice

Sweet Rice came to Adopt A Golden Birmingham by way of a shelter. After spending some time with AGB while she was treated for heartworms, she was adopted by her new mom who absolutely loves her to pieces. Rice, now Reese, will forever be safe, loved, and home. Her new mom says it best: 

“This past holiday time and new year are truly special. I got to bring home a very special friend named Rice, who is now known as Reese,  just before Thanksgiving.  Thanks to the wonderful people at Adopt A Golden Birmingham who saved this sweet girl from the streets of Birmingham and made sure she was returned to good health. I now have a very loving, sweet, cuddle bug. Over the past 40+ years, my husband and I have had several Goldens and several Golden mixes. When my last 2 little dogs passed away, I knew I wanted to adopt one more Golden before I got too old.

I missed the happy-go-lucky personality of a Golden and the endless adoration. Reese has tons of it, and we are working on the happy-go-lucky part. Every day we pass a new milestone. We have lots to teach each other, which makes this new year exciting and tons of fun.  We have the cuddling part down pat. She even is a total sweetie to my 2 cats.
