Riley
October 22, 2021 – Riley came to AGB after a stressful time for his family and went to foster with an adorable young couple. After working with him through some issues and nursing him through eye surgery, Riley is doing great and loving his life. His mom says, “Riley is an affectionate teddy bear who joined our family unofficially in July as a foster. As soon as we saw his picture, we knew we had to give him a chance. Over the past few months, we’ve had the honor of seeing him flourish in our home. Once a timid and grumpy older guy, Riley has turned into a polite gentleman who loves to go on walks and fetch as many balls as possible! Riley and much younger brother, Zeus have grown to love each other. After AGB graciously provided the best surgical care for Riley’s eye surgery, Riley decided he wanted to stay with us forever! We are so grateful for AGB and couldn’t be happier!

Hello friends! My name is Riley and I am a 7 year old, 80 lb. golden boy. Recently my parents separated and it has been a stressful time for all of us. They decided it would be best if I could find a family with lots of love to give and time to spend with me. As you can see, I’m quite handsome. My foster family reports that I have been a perfect gentleman. Though I would be fine as an only dog, I get along well with my foster brother and especially love a good game of tug of war. I am housetrained and I love to cuddle! I prefer to sleep on my soft bed next to yours rather than in a crate. I go to the door when I need to go out. Don’t worry if you don’t see me. I will come find you! I don’t normally get on furniture unless you give me permission, I don’t beg for food and I know a few commands like sit, come and down. I also love car rides! I do get a little nervous when I hear loud noises, so perhaps you could help me with that. I had some fatty growths and a rash on my belly when I came to AGB, but the doctors are taking care of all that and I am feeling better. I am neutered and vaccinated and ready to be someone’s new best friend. If you’re ready for a new bestie, let AGB know you want to meet me, Riley.
