Sarah
March 14, 2023 – Sarah is a 13 year old female golden who came to AGB when her owners’ living situation changed and they needed some help getting Sarah the veterinarian care she needed. After a thorough examination, it was determined that Sarah is in renal failure and has a small cancerous mass on her spleen. Because of these issues, AGB decided to make Sarah a permanent foster dog so she can live out her golden years in comfort and peace. After a few weeks, Sarah has found her forever foster home. She now has two canine brothers – a golden retriever and a long haired daschund and two doting parents. Her new foster mom saw her on Facebook and felt called to help. After talking to multiple AGB volunteers, she was ready to bring Sarah home. She says Sarah settled in right away and her sweet personality is starting to show. She loves to lay on her big bed and sit right next to the dining table during dinner. Thank you to Lisa, our wonderful foster volunteer, who took Sarah in while we looked for a permanent home!

Hello friends, I’m Sarah. I am a 13 year old, 66 lb, golden girl. My owners had an unexpected hardship and had to find another place for me to live. I am an extremely sweet girl that gets along with all pets and humans. I am also a very good girl during car rides. It’s been a while since I have seen a doctor, so AGB is having their Vet take great care of me. I have been described as “a velcro dog” because I really like to be close to people. I am calm and loving, but do have some medical issues due to my age. I would be best suited for a quiet home without young children or stairs. I may be older, but I still have so much love to give. I just want to be someone’s very special girl. If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet senior girl, I would love to meet you. Oh, and through AGB’s Senior to Senior program, my adoption fees will be waived for adopters 65 and older. I can also be approved for a permanent foster situation, if someone agrees to be my foster family for AGB for the rest of my days. There are so many options for us to be together!
