Woman sitting and holding two golden retriever puppies

Skye/Dottie

January 29, 2020 – When shy Paisley and Skye came to AGB, their new mom was asked if she might be interested in a bonded pair. Her answer was “yes, yes, yes, yes!” She could not get to Birmingham fast enough to take her girls home. They are now Ruby and Dottie and they are living the life they deserve. These timid little girls had to be carried when they first came to AGB but they are growing more confident each day and are enjoying their backyard and daily walks. Their new parents have an abundance of patience and love and it shows!

Original Adoption Post

“Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters….” Hello, my name is Skye. I’m almost 18 months old. Me and my ‘sister’, Paisley, came to AGB by way of the shelter. We were surrendered to the shelter by a lady that got us as puppies but she already had four dogs. She said she knew pretty girls like us would get rescued and not remain in the shelter. She was right; here we are. Thank goodness together! The both of us are very, very sweet – described as sweethearts – but we’re also pretty nervous as well. I just don’t know what to expect next. I am so glad I have Paisley to huddle with in uncertain times. I am the blonder of the two of us and I weigh 50 pounds. We’ve been vaccinated and we’re about to be microchipped and spayed. I have a few abrasions on my front legs that the vet thinks could be bite wounds but they’re healing well and not a problem. I didn’t react at all to a cat passing me by and I do like other dogs. Do you have a home and a heart for a blonde and beautiful Golden girl and her sister?
